The Prosecco Hills are a world heritage site
This is the verdict of the World Heritage Committee (Whc), during the 43rd session of UNESCO taking place in Baku.
The Venetian hills were promoted with full marks, with unanimous resolution of the 21 member states of the Committee, confirming the high quality of the Italian candidacy.
From July 7, 2019, therefore, the 97 square kilometers of slopes and villages of the Left Piave between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene become the eighth site of Veneto and the 55th Italian site under the auspices of the United Nations World Organization for Culture that protects 1092 (now 1093) places "unique" in 167 countries.
